Rock Art in the AmaZizi Region
Two rock art sites are currently readily accessible and open for visitation in this area. Mkhosheni boasts fairly large specimens that are particularly well preserved. The site can be visited as part of the Singathi Cave Trail. Mghwabane features a mythical snake figure. The Mghwabane Rock Art Trail is very easy and the site is not far from the homesteads.

Visitors to the sites must be accompanied by an AMAFA accredited rock art custodian. Contact the AmaZizi guides to arrange a visit. There is also a site for more general information on Drakensberg rock art sites and custodians.
