Hiking in the AmaZizi Region
All three mountain wards of the AmaZizi are suitable for visitation and hiking: Busingatha, Okhombe and Obanjaneni.
Currently no entrance or hiking fees are applicable. Visitors are requested to arrange visits through local guides and community facilitators.
Before embarking on your hike, please fill in the mountain rescue register at the Thandanani Craft Center on the Royal Natal road, just after the turn off to the Busingatha Clinic.
Visitors are requested to take note of all important information supplied on this site on the AmaZizi region. Only park your vehicle in places designated by your guide, and be considerate of the fact that locals in the region may not be as familiar with outside visitors as they are in the Mnweni.
